Therapy

Therapy for men, on your terms.

Therapy offers a space to explore what’s happening in your life, better understand your experiences, and work toward meaningful change. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before starting.

What therapy is

A conversation with a purpose.

At its simplest, therapy is a conversation with someone trained to help you make sense of what’s going on. You talk about what’s on your mind (work, relationships, stress, the things that keep coming back) and together you start to see the patterns underneath.

It isn’t about being told what to do, and it isn’t about digging up the past for the sake of it. It’s about understanding how you got here, what’s keeping you stuck, and what you want to do differently.

Therapy doesn’t have to start with knowing exactly what’s wrong.

Working together

What working together looks like.

01

Understanding comes first

Before jumping to solutions, you’ll take the time to understand what you’re experiencing and why. Clarity often makes the next step easier to see.

02

Tools you can use

Along the way, you’ll build practical skills: ways to manage stress, handle conflict, and notice what’s happening before it boils over.

03

Your pace, your priorities

You decide what to talk about and how quickly to go. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

04

Evidence-informed, built around you

Nick draws on established, evidence-informed approaches and adapts them to you, not the other way around.

Ways to meet

In person or virtual, whatever fits your life.

In person

Meet face to face in a private, comfortable office in Durham Region. add city

Virtual

Secure video sessions from wherever you’re comfortable, anywhere in Ontario. Same care, no commute.

50-minute sessions

Often weekly or every other week to start. You set the pace from there.

Who it’s for

Therapy isn’t reserved for a crisis.

Some men come in because something has gone wrong. Others come because things are fine on paper, but they want to feel more settled, more connected, or more like themselves.

Both are good reasons. Seeking support is a constructive step, not a sign of failure.
